The project consisted of the acquisition and renovation of the historic Grain and Lumber Exchange Building located at 51 4th Street East in Winona. The building was a multi-tenant office building which was converted to a residential property consisting of a mix of 29 apartments and short-term(VRBO/Airbnb) units.
The building is on the National Historic Register and the project pursued historic tax credits. It is a 4-story building with a basement with approximately 5,000sf per floor. The entire building was basically gutted and renovated while working with the State and National Historic Preservation Offices to re-use as much material as possible and construct new improvements that recognize the building’s historical significance.
Opened early 2023.
